Centacare FNQ provides Settlement Services that use a strengths based approach, working with people to build the skills and knowledge they need to become self-reliant and active members of the Australian community. The following Casework and Case Management assistance is provided:
Our Services

Refugee Support

Support to refugees and humanitarian entrants to assist them in their first 6 – 18 months in Australia. Humanitarian entrants are referred directly into the Centacare by the Department of Social Services

Specialised Support

Specialised intensive support is available to humanitarian visa holders who have complex needs. This support is usually up to 6 months. People requiring intensive support for complex issues can be referred by any individual or organisation and must be approved by the Department of Social Services

Asylum Seekers

Support to asylum seekers and vulnerable people who are in the process of resolving their immigration status. We can help eligible people apply for this service through the Department of Home Affairs.

Settlement Needs

Support for people from refugee and migrant backgrounds to address settlement needs.
