The Manoora Neighbourhood Centre, managed by Centacare FNQ since 2023, is committed to serving the cairns west community of Far North Queensland funded by the Queensland Government.
Our centre prioritises cultural awareness, competency, and safety, demonstrated through successful initiatives with key stakeholders such as Cairns Safer Streets.
Centacare FNQ’s inclusive and cohesive approach is evident in our operations at the Manoora Neighbourhood centre. Our diverse team, many of whom live locally and reflect the cultural demographics of the area, is dedicated to supporting vulnerable individuals, and our services range from immediate crisis response and emergency relief to long-term mental health and wellbeing support.

Women's Group
- Every Tuesday • 10:30am - 12pm

Our Women’s Group provides a welcoming and supportive space for women to connect, share experiences, build friendships and feel part of a caring community.
The group aims to foster a sense of belonging, reduce isolation and support women to strengthen their wellbeing in a safe, inclusive and community-minded setting.
Financial Mentoring
- Every other Thursday
iCan Financial Mentors visit the Centre fortnightly on Thursdays to provide free, confidential financial advice and support to community members.
Delivered in a respectful and non-judgemental setting, this fortnightly service helps people feel more informed, supported and confident when making financial decisions. It is a valuable opportunity for community members to access trusted financial guidance close to home.
Centrelink Services
- Every other Wednesday
Representatives from Services Australia visit the Centre fortnightly on Wednesdays to assist community members with Centrelink and related support needs. This service provides a convenient opportunity for people to access face-to-face guidance close to home.
Support may include general assistance with payments, claims, reporting requirements, documentation, MyGov access and referrals to the right services where needed.
